The following is how we envision raiding at level 80. This is of course subject to change if ways are suggested which can improve it. The overall purpose is that we continue to provide a nice and fun guild to be in while attempting to improve our raid efforts a little.

The 10man / 25 man situation

  • We will raid Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday.
  • Once we have enough level 80 members to start 10 man raiding, sign-ups will go up.
  • Sign-ups will go up like they have for 25 man instances in TBC.
  • Once we have enough people for two 10 man groups, we will start making two raids.
  • Once we have enough people for 25 man groups, we will start doing 25 man raids. 10 man raiding will then be done on non-raiding nights or on nights where we dont have enough for 25 man instances. More info will follow at this time.
  • Signups will be as before. The leadership will have the approvals done at 18:30.
  • Invites start at 19:30, replacements will be found for empty spots at 19:45. Raids end at 23:00
  • Raiders competing with non-raiders for spots will get priority.
  • Loot in 10 man raids will be need/greed. Priority for main spec over offspec but not raider over non-raider.
  • Loot in 25 man raids will be won using the existing DKP bidding system.
  • Pugging or raiding in instances where we are currently doing guild or DKP raids is forbidden for raiders. Alts and non raiders can go but only non raiders can go during raid times.

Raid performance and approvals

  • We will strive to balance the raid, this might happen at the expense of some people getting spots more often than others.
  • Raiders who repeatedly aren't performing as we think they should in raids will be told. If we dont see improvement over the next 2 raid periods they will only get raids spots if they can't be filled otherwise. In other words, you will be a reserve.
  • People who fail to sign for raids will also risk losing raid spot priority (see below)

Attendance

  • If you dont sign for a week without giving us a notice, we might have to look for other ways of filling your spot. Signing and then cancelling counts as not signing.
  • Signing and not showing or cancelling after approvals repeatedly will result in you becomming a non raider.
  • If you dont raid for 2 weeks without giving us a notice you will be made a non raider.
  • If you are unable to raid for more than 3 weeks you will be made a non raider unless this is due to vacation, illness or similar good reasons.

Loot distribution

  • DKP will be reset for WotLK
  • Only 25 man raids will be dkp.
  • In raids with NWG members, non-dkp or dkp there wont be given priority on loot to any single member. Priority in the form that NWG members have rights over non-guildies is acceptable.
  • Raid leaders get the final say as to who the item is more suited for. If it's deemed to be unsuitable for a class they wont be able to bid until it goes to offspec.
  • Armor types will only be considered main spec if that's the best type you can use. Thus cloth will be offspec for paladins, leather will be offspec to hunters and so on.
  • Alts bidding for loot that would be considered mainspec for them bid on equal terms as mains who wants offspec.
  • Rare patterns will only be availiable to those with permanent membership (not initiates) and to those with sufficient skill to learn the pattern immediatly. It will be distributed via /roll.
  • Rare mounts from raid instances will only be availiable to those with permanent memebrship (not initiates). It will be distributed by a /roll.

General raiding rules

  • Have these or similar addons installed before joining a raid. Ora2 + Deadly Boss Mods+ Natur enemy cast bar+ Omen+ Decursive (if you can cleanse/decurse/dispel)
  • Always be online 5 minutes before invites start to get the raid going fast. If you know you wont be online, state it in your signup.
  • If you cannot stay 'till the end, say so at the signup or at the start of the raid.
  • Always be repaired before the raid starts.
  • Repair only when the rest of the raid does. Never go off on your own to repair.
  • Dont start PvP when waiting for the raid outside a raidinstance, but finish it if horde tries anything.
  • Bring 20 bandages
  • Bring enough food, elixirs, flasks and pots to last the raid
  • USE your food, elixirs, flasks and pots
  • Set your afk flag and tell a raidleader why/how long you're afk
  • 'I don't know the tactics'= I don't wanna raid! Read the tactics at the 1000's of sites when you don't know what to do!
  • Dont be afraid to ask questions, it's what makes us better
  • Have fun
