DKP rules

 The following sections bescribe how DKP are awarded and spend during PvE raids in Northwind Gale.

Hour DKP:

1 DKP is earned for every 15 min a player is in a raid. E.g. 45min = 3 DKPs, 59min = 3DKP, 1 hour 16min = 5DKPs.

Boss takedown DKP:

2 DKPs are awarded for being present at a boss takedown.

Being on time bonus:

2 DKP are awarded if you are in the raid before the official starting time. However, if you are AFK and delaying the raid there will be no bonus for you.

Entire raid bonus:

4 DKPs are earned by being present for the entire raid. To get this bonus you have to be in the raid before the official starting time and be in the raid (not afk) untill the raid is officially over.

Looting rules

The distribution of loot in 25 man raids happens by running an auction. In general you should not bid on off-spec items untill it is clear than nobody wants them for their raid spec (holy paladins don't bid on retribution gear, noone bids on their second tier item untill it's confirmed that nobody needs their first one, etc.).

Auction process

• A captain announces the item that is going to be auctioned (raid members refrain from using the raid chat please)
• The captain announces that the auction has started, what the minimum bid is, what the increment will be, and bids can be handed in.
• During the bidding phase
  • Raid members sends bids to the captain by whispering him "#bid <amount>" to bid a specific amount or "#bid" to increase the current bid with the announced increment. A reply will tell if:
    • The bid was accepted and you got the highest bid. Highest bid will be announced in raid chat, but only the bid not the name of the player.
    • The bid was not accepted as it was lower than the current highest bid.
    • The bid was not accepted as the player didn't have the amount of DKPs available.
  • Players will be whispered if they got the highest bid but someone made a higher bid.
  • When a new highest bid is found it will be announced in raid chat.
• The captain announces that the auction has ended and who the winner is.

Multiple winners

If multiple raid members have made a bid of the same amount all "winners" are announced and the item is rolled for. This situation only occurs if someone is making a bid of all his/hers DKPs as this is the only situation in which you can make a bid that is the same as the current highest bid.
